Mirador de Bascos

MIRADOR DE BASCOS

Mirador de Bascos is located in the western part of El Hierro, in the direct vicinity of EL Sabinar, in municipio of La Frontera.

Mirador de BascosThis viewpoint is fantastically situated - on the edge of the rocks, in the place called El Rincón, hanged on an altitude of 650 metres above sea level, exactly above Playa de las Arenas Blancas.

Mirador de BascosIt provides one of the most delightful and beautiful views on the island. In the cloudless days it's possible to see the entire, or the more part of the Valle del Golfo valley with Pozo de la Salud and Sabinosa on the first plan, la Frontera in the midway, untill the Roques de Salmor far away on a horizon. Exactly in front of you, you can sometimes see the neighbouring La Palma.

How to get?

To get to the Mirador de Bascos you should take any way in the direction to the west (along the El Golfo bay or through the central part of the island) and turn to the Ermita de los Reyes. Few metres behind the chapel begins the sandy, few-kilometres long road. The viewpoint is at the end of it.
