Mirador de Tanajara is situated in the south-eastern part of El Hierro, in the direct vicinity of El Pinar - the largest town in this area.


This viewing tower is located on the top of the Tanajara hill, on an altitude of over 900 metres above sea level. From this place extends fabulous panorama of the town of El Pinar, over the beautiful pine forests, from which the village took its name, and over the entire southern zone of the island.

To get to the Miradora de Tanajara you have to go in the direction to El Pinar and just before the village (when going from the north) turn right. The road is well-signed and leads to the top of the hill, where the viewpoint is located.
